Saint James Missionary Baptist Church is a multi-generational church that sits in the Afro-Centric City of Riviera Beach, Florida, in proximity to some of the finest beaches in South Florida. Saint James serves Riviera Beach, Palm Beach County and beyond. The church maintains a relevant Youth Church and a plethora of ministries as it seeks positive transformation in prophetic ministry.

The rich history and stability of Saint James can be identified in its fifty-five (55) year history where the church has had only two Pastoral Leaders, the founding Pastor, Dr. A. H. Lockett (Emeritus, 32 years) and the current Pastor, Dr. Tony F. Drayton (23 years). The church’s motto is, “The church striving to be the light of the community.”

St. James Missionary Baptist Church envisions the church to Proclaim the Gospel, Evangelize throughout the world and build the Kingdom of God. Matthew 28:19-20
Our mission is to be the Light of the community and world. We will direct our efforts through Preaching, Teaching, Evangelizing, and Witnessing: 1) To demonstrate love and show compassion. 2) To alleviate suffering by meeting both physical and spiritual needs. 3) To serve the community by rendering the necessary services to facilitate the development of an abundant life. – Matthew 5:13

Upon arrival at the Saint James Church, you can expect to be greeted by some of our most enthusiastic members of various ages. You will meet a group of people who exemplify a family like culture, with a keen focus on Ministry. More so, one will feel the excitement about our A.R.M.Y.* (*Anointed Radical Mighty Youth) Church. You can worship and celebrate with our multi-talented and gifted voices of our choirs, as they set the atmosphere for the prophetic proclamation of God’s Word.

Prepare to move in our celebrative worship experience, with the Senior Pastor and staff as they examine and argue from the rich relevant Word of God expository. You can expect a firm but gentle invitation to actively participate in at least one of the ministries of the church as we champion positive transformation in our castles (home), church and community.

Mission Statement: To evangelize to the unsaved, to assist in the spiritual matters of the church and serve as the servant-leaders for the Pastor, to assist with the ministries and the congregation.
